Workout description
Large amounts of tempo work in today's session, but the focus is on fuel.
To produce zone 3 power and above requires a significant amount of glycogen.
But what happens when this fuel source has been depleted? Today's workout begins with a steady-state zone 3 effort, followed by a series of bottom end, zone 4 intervals.
All of this is followed by the same opening zone 3 interval.
Take note and compare your sensations and heart rate response in the two steady-state tempo efforts.
Is the final tempo effort as comfortable as the first?.
